Election Day 2010

Today I did what many people around Australia did.  I helped out our schools Election Day Sausage Sizzle and Cake stall.

I wasn’t there for a massive amount of time but I probably helped cook about 400 of the 600 sausages we sold today.

The sausages I cooked today may or may not have resembled these ones i found on Dreamstime.

What did your polling place put on for you today?

Oh yes, I voted too. I just hope that nobody runs around after this election saying “The Australian Public gave us the Mandate to….” .

At this point it appears the Australia Public really hasn't given anyone a mandate, just a hung Parliament.

How was your Election Day?

If the figures this arvo are anything to go by, I'm breathing a tad (A TAD!) easier, let's just say that.

We had the sausage sizzle too. But as I'm not a red meat eater, I had to pass. Am LOVING that Melbourne voted in a Greenie!
